Completely unrelated to the story of reMIND, I just feel the urge to share this: “The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but man is tested by the praise he receives.” – Proverbs 27:21
I like this one: “Develop the mind of equilibrium. You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect the poise of the mind: follow the calmness, the absence of pride.” -The Buddha
Very inspirational words of wisdom. I must remeber this the next time I’m feeling as if my talents are inadequate or unappreciated. I think everyone should follow this advice as it always seems that the most talented of artists are also their own personal bane. But maybe it’s how we handle this mental barrier that makes us better each time we try something new. After all, everything needs a balance. You can’t have light without darkness and you can’t have peice without chaos, right?

How we handle praise and pain in a great way show who we are as men.
Well, you might want to take that with a grain of salt because Solomon or Buddha didn’t say that, I did. :(
Pride is something that all men in all ages have dealt with. It is a primal emotion, which intoxicates us like wine and blinds us like lust.
Humility is hard to grasp. We slip away from it so easily.
awesome jason, just awesome.
