Thanks everyone for tweeting and making this a real success!
Check this out! reMINDblog will be giving away 5 copies of AMULET 4 by Kazu Kibuishi this week. If you’ve never heard of AMULET or Kazu then definitely look into it because in my opinion, Kazu has been one of the game changers of the graphic novel industry. He’s responsible for the FLIGHT Anthology which has been huge! His success with AMULET has really been an inspiration to me and many others and it’s been a big influence in my approach to making reMIND.
“Kazu Kibuishi’s thrilling, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series continues!
Emily and her friends think they’ll find the help they need in Cielis, but something isn’t right. Streets that were once busy are deserted, and the townspeople who are left live in fear. Emily is soon escorted to the Academy, where she’s expected to compete for a spot on the Guardian Coucil, a group of the most powerful Stonekeepers. But as the number of competitors gets smaller and smaller, an awful secret is slowly uncovered – a secret that, if left buried, means the certain destruction of everything Emily fights for.”

How to Win a copy of Amulet 4
Okay, so I’ve never done anything like this before on reMINDblog but here goes. To be eligible to win one of the 5 free copies of Amulet 4, all you have to do is tweet a link to something on reMINDblog.com with the hashtag #reMINDamulet. You can tweet this post if you want or a simple link to http://reMINDblog.com. Every time you tweet the hashtag #reMINDamulet with a link here, you are putting your name into the drawing to win one of the 5 books I’ll be giving away. You can do this a million times and you’ll be a million times more likely to win.
I’ll Also Throw in reMIND Volume 1
As if this isn’t enough, I’ll make it even better! I’ll throw in a copy of reMIND too! So, if your tweet gets randomly drawn, I’ll send you a copy of Amulet Book 4 and reMIND Volume 1. So what are you waiting for, start Tweeting up a storm!
You have from the 19th to the 20th (Monday and Tuesday) to Tweet like a maniac and remember that I’ll need to get your address if you really want the books sent to you. I’ll send a tweet to the five winners on the 21st.
Thanks for participating and good luck!

Really cool promotional idea! Amulet is a great read. I’m just sad Flight isn’t still around, I love the anthology format (going back to reading Heavy Metal issues as a kid). I’m trying my hand at my own with the Stray Flight line of comics on my website. Anthologies, we need more of ‘em!
What’s a anthology format?
Check out Flight or any old Issue of Heavy Metal magazine or 2000 AD. It’s a comic/graphic novel that gathers a collection of smaller stories into a larger book. More recently Mark Millar has created CLiNT, that is sort of a redux of the large format ‘comic magazine.’ The stories inside could all follow along a similar theme or they could be unrelated. Sometimes stories are serialized in this fashion as well. I just love picking up anthologies for the simple fact of being exposed to a large range of artists and stories.
Great stuff Jason! I am going to have to get into amulet because it’s new to me and looks awesome.
Done and done. Great idea to boost following.
Very cool! Always nice to see artists working together and it seems like a creative way to promote your site. You continue to impress.
I’m already pre-ordered my copy of Amulet Book 04 at my local comic shop in Perth but that doesn’t stop me from promoting your initiatives to Mr. Kibuishi’s launch of his latest installment to the Amulet series. All for a good cause!
Jason you continue to be an inspiration and a champion of indy comic artists/self publishers – you’re defintely a game changer to me.
This is also a good opportunity for me to learn how to use Twitter (I have an account but don’t use it that often). I’ll tweet it up when I get back home from work tonight. *thumbs up*
Are you going to announce the winnners?
Oh I guess I should announce it here. haha. I announced it on twitter. Yeah I’ll update this post with the winners who already know they are the winners. :)
