Its writing formula= The greater the life that could be had, the harder the fall and more catastrophic the consequences. He was about to become the son in the law to the king, and we know that he is now, in point of fact, a cat.

My money= Lizard lad there didn't pay his taxes. Thats where I'd put my money. Yup. ;)

What do the word bubbles in the middle panel say (if anything)?

They don’t say anything really. There was an option that was written for that scene but it just didn’t seem right when I finished the page. I took it completely out but then last minute I added this small text. Who knows, I might have to clean it up and really make it say something for the printed version. ha

Interestingly enough, this is the only place where I’m still using Comic Sans as the font. hahah

So, just a guess, but is the king going to try and steal his body?

Raevan, I think you're onto something here. That seems suitably twisted. On the other hand, what happens to the body of the old king when he makes the transfer, or do you think that he'd come up with some excuse not to appear in public?

Wow, I just stumbled upon this comic. 1) It's beautiful and 2) I can't believe you're writing about the Lizard Man. I'm from South Carolina (origin of one of the tales) and I knew people who took part in the Lizard Man hunt. This totally made my day. Brilliant writing and wonderful artwork! I can't wait to see it in print. :)

Glad you are enjoying it. Believe it or not, when I started this whole concept over 10 years ago, I never heard about Lizard People or Lizard Men in real life. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I starting hearing some of the stories and it blew my mind.

      Thanks for the compliments!

I just looked into the Lizard man from South Carolina stories now that you brought it up. It's crazy how similar some of the things are. For instance, people think missing cats are because of the Lizard Man! Ha! That's so cool.

You gave me an idea for a new shirt. A reMIND version of this:

A tourist version of the Lizard Man from Cripple Peaks.

That’s so exciting! I can’t wait to see your shirt idea. I’m glad I could be a spark for inspiration. (I stumbled onto your blog before coming back here so there’s a longer post there.) Yeah, the similarities are uncanny. That’s why I automatically assumed that’s what you were basing your comic on. It’s awesome that this is your original concept! :)

There's a direct address comma missing from "… I found you, my son."

I think it should be "…a buzz in the air on the eve of our wedding."
