Wow man, It's really encouraging to read your comment. I'm glad that the subtle things in the story and mystery of everything is compelling. Quite a few questions will start to be answered soon but I'm hoping that many more will arise because of it.

For me, the best stories are the strange alternate universe types where everything is mostly normal but when you really look into it you can't put your finger on the time or location because it's all just too strange. It helps my mind accept when unnatural things start to happen but I'm still slightly grounded in a world I can compare to my own.

One of the things I love most is not having every detail explained. For instance the lighthouse is obviously designed to warn ships but what's with the big gear on top making the lights shoot up into the air too? I have some answers in my head but I don't think I'll ever explain it.

Having Sonja oppose her fathers beliefs came to me later in the development because I realized that every character in a good story has to have a past a present and a future. If you know where they came from and where they are going then it's easy to write what they are doing right now and how they react to a situation.

Anyway, Sorry to babble. I'm so glad you like it so far.
